Australia - October 2006

I have recently spent the month of October (2006) in Australia again... two weeks traversing the Gibb River Road in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, a week doing day trips out of Darwin, in the Northern Territory, and a week visiting friends in Melbourne.

Links to various slide shows can be found here.

Last Day - Above the Tunnel at Zion N. P.

Upper Antelope Canyon  - April 2006
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nine days of shooting began with a very rainy day in
Zion National Park, another morning above the tunnel on the way to Kanab, Utah. We ventured into the Coral Pink Sand Dunes,
made a quick trip into Bryce National Park, then to Grovenor's Arch.
Another day was spent visiting the Toadstools, Paria movie set and the location where Gunsmoke was filmed. On the way to Page,
Arizona we did a "gully walk" and finally Horseshoe Basin.
The most spectacular day was a boat trip from the Wahweap Marina
to the famous Rainbow Bridge and back. Returning toward
Las Vegas we again photographed above
the tunnel in Zion National Park.
You will find photo galleries that represent some of the special places I have visited since I retired in 1999 ..... New Zealand (I've been there 10 different times!), Australia (6 times), Tasmania (2 trips). Recently I traveled to both Colorado for a Fall Color Workshop and three times to the southwest section of Utah to explore those areas with my camera. UTAH Rocks!
I write tutorials for web developers who use both FrontPage and Dreamweaver, trying to help them with using photos on their sites, buliding photo galleries etc. That's why you'll find so much variety in the presentation of these pages ... many are experiments or examples for the tutorials.
Take a look at the Suggested Links ... I'll try to put interesting articles there.
Before you go too far into this site I hope you'll read my views on photography as they apply to this site. You can go there now >>>.
