Adding Special Characters to a Text Gif

Here's the finished product:

How to add the diamonds in between the words:

Begin with a new transparent document about 550 x 200.

Choose the Text Tool for Papyrus (or your own choice of font) set at 50 and bold. The color is #993300.
To underline the text: Use the Line Tool, Show Stroke, Felt Tip, Dark Marker, Tip set at 3, Texture=Grain. (If you choose underline for the text itself the line will touch the bottom of the E & T.)

Choose the text tool again, changing the text size to 24 and type in the three words with 4 spaces between them ... to make room for the diamonds. Color now is #336633

Choose the text tool one last time to make the diamond. Choose Wingdings for the font, hold down the Alt key while typing 0116 on the numbers pad and the diamond will appear.
You will need to copy the diamond (it will be on top of itself) and move it with the Pointer Tool) into the other space between the words 'Tasmania' and 'Norfolk Island'.

Save your .png file and export your image as a .gif.
