Closer
to the Store - circa 1843
During the years of settlement all provisions needed to be brought out from
England.
Notice that all the windows were barred to prevent any pilfering by the employees
or bushrangers.
Store - used for the storage of dry food. The water tank on the roof held the
water
for the Homestead and garden. The water was originally pumped
by a horse driven pump, and then the wooden wind mill
was used early in the 1900's. An electric pump is now used.
