Paint Shop Pro Album 4 - page 3 |

From the Share menu you can Create a Web
Gallery. |
|
There are 40 Web Gallery templates from which to choose. Many are not useful for professional photographers because they are more geared for 'family photo' sharing as they are often too 'cute'. I would have liked to see a greater variety of simpler templates or a way to place a gallery on a prebuilt custom page.

This Side by Side choice is quite plain and simple. When actually viewing the gallery you scroll through and click the thumbnails on the left and the larger version of the photo is displayed on the right. If you're building galleries for the internet you will be able to make changes within the code view. |

As you can see there are tabs on the left side for choosing Templates or Adjustments. Adjustments for Backgrounds include Miscellaneous, Patterns, Solid Colors and Textures. Adjustments for Text Colors include colors for Text, Links and Visited Links. |
|
Here's another template example for the gallery to play automatically - a java script is generated. (This also shows the dialog for Background Solid Colors.) After you have imported the folder of images and dependent files into FrontPage or Dreamweaver you can work with the page code view to set some of the parameters of your presentation. |

Final comments: I'm very excited about the capabilities of Jasc's Paint Shop Pro Album. Even though I have the a full version of Paint Shop Pro v.8.1, I know the program will be very useful in browsing my numerous folders of photos, making slide shows and even Quick Time movies. I highly recommend it for someone who doesn't necessarily want to spend upwards to $100 for the full version of Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop Elements 2 or Ulead's PhotoImpact. Ulead's Photo Explorer is the program that best offers the same capabilities as PSP Album and the one I used until now. Amateur photographers will find all the tools they need for organizing, enhancing and sharing their photos. |
